Wing Foiling: Windy Days Suck No More
Wing foiling (“winging”), the latest windsport that strikes a happy medium between kite boarding and windsurfing, has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity since the first wings hit the market. Utilizing a lightweight handheld sail and a hydrofoil-equipped board, winging allows riders to take to the water on days that are too windy for eFoiling.
Learning to wing opens up a world of opportunity, and we now offer a Pre-Winging Efoil Lesson specifically tailored to developing the unique skills required to make the transition to winging. These lessons are not for first-time-foilers and cover advanced wing-specific techniques like variable thrust, hands-free pop ups, and riding both regular and switch (an essential windsport skill!)
If you have never foiled at all, we still recommend starting with a basic EFoil lesson.
Also, for those lucky enough to visit during an especially windy day, we offer Winging lessons on Donner Lake. Since the wind is unreliable and difficult to forecast, please contact Matt to see if a Winging lesson is in the cards while you’re in town. Remember, a Pre-Winging Efoil lesson is always available.
